Hey it's Tanguy

Chennai could be a good place because a lot of big companies are setting up there so there are the resources and a high job demand

and it located on the coast which facilitates transportation of goods

Mumbai, says Mr. Golding, is the center of the textile industry, while is probably what we're doing.
Bangalore is the technological center of the country.
I would pick one of those two.

Robbie, by the way, is Sarah Robins.
I can't get it to just say Sarah.

I also agree with Mumbai because it is right on the coast with easy access in and out. Also it is the center of the textile industry therefore there are already a large amount of big industrial building there, so the people would be used to big industries and feel that one more couldnt hurt.

I agree with Mumbai because it's pretty much the business & financial capital of India and also because like sarah said, is the center of the textile industry, and since we're probable doing northdace shirts.

Meaning that everyone else wants to do Mumbai, so you're agreeing.
if we want to research, Mumbai is also known as Bombay.

and, i agree with this whole Mumbai thing..there will still be reousrces and a high job demand.

Okay I just looked it up and Mumbai WAS know as bombay, but no longer is. just clarifying that.... not to burst your bubble whoever said it was. Yeah the fact that it is right on the coast is really convenient for transfering goods. According to my research, Mumbai is quite the hopping place. you have my vote.

Sup guys it's Matt

I found another place that might work too. It's called coimbatore, they say it's the textile and engineering city of India. They also have good health care and good education there so we don't have to worry about our 'employees" that much.

read this:

Guys-
this is important.we dont have a product yet, and well, our homework for history was to find out what makes up our product. So, i think we need to find out what were gonna use.
AAANND, did everyone get sarah robins email about who owns The North Face? cause North Face isnt independent-and thats important for our research.

also, i think that matt and tanguy had a good point picking a city that isnt Mumbai, it'll be more work for us, but there would be a higher work force since its a new industrial city.

Becca raises a good point.

I think we should go ahead and go with Coimbatore. I looked it up, and according to Wikipedia (don't tell Kozuch) it's known for textiles, engineering, auto parts, good health care, good education, and nice weather. It's not on the coast, but according to g-netsolutions.com, it has "excellent potential for industrial growth".

So thanks Matt Ma. You're awesome.

Peace,
Sarah

P.S. If anyone has any strong feelings against this, speak up, but otherwise I think we should just do it.

Remember you NEED to choose the location of your factory (as a large group) as well as an ecosystem surrounding the factory (you can do this with your partners) as well as a map of the region, and a description of the materials that make up the project. B block: I see you guys tomorrow so you need to have this information by then in order to proceed with the project!!! -

any place is fine by me, but just know that Coimbatore is pretty dry and surrounded by either mountains or reserve forests, so it's an important area environmentally. but its also near a river (Noyyal)
it has a high literacy rate
about 2 million people in and around the city
its residents are generally traditional and conservative with native culture

p.s. we need to do able to do bio homework so i say we just agree on this one
